My first lingerie shoot in a long long time, probably since sometime in 06. 

I did not intend for this to look so much like his stuff; but happy accidents are always welcome. 

Sometimes you take the easy way out. 

OK, squirts. Still. 

I had thought this to be more of a contemplative look; but I'm told she looks irritated. 

This picture has been variously titled by the MUA (Kelly's Bliss) and the Model. I guess it makes them think of something. It makes me think of Shelly. 

The first outdoor socks shot. The first from behind socks shot. The first socks shot with an out-of-state model. Many firsts and of course there's only one Shelly. 

I'm not sure what I think about this image. It was getting really hot in the studio and it shows. On the other hand, there is sort of a breathless erotic quality to this that may makeup for that.

First look, first edit from a great weekend of shooting. 

Location: The Pearl; Jacksonville, FL 

I know this is sort of cheesecake; but the expression is good and it's grown on me. 

My favorite from this shoot. 

Don't you feel dirty? 

Brena brought her own theme to the shoot, although I actually had to scout up the props and wardrobe. I'm really happy with this one. 

Love this. 

Another catalog look. 

Bad diffusion on the shadows; but it's a nice catalog look. 

Coming up with titles is a pain in the ass. 

Just a simple classic style. 

I think I like this one better. Rate both of these to give me a feel for what's best. 

The focus is deliberately soft. 

Actually damn near sunset forest, when you consider the camera is facing West. 

I feel like there's a lot of room for the imagination to run wild with this picture. 

There are a lot of great unique details in Katie's face. I need to do more of these. 

Just playing with props and storytelling. 

I wish I had taken the time to do one of these with every model I've shot. 

The second finished Life Socks Photo 

More cheesecake. Sometimes you just have to. 

I'm pretty sure this was between poses. 

By this point, Tuesday knows she's on fire. 

At this point, we had wrapped up any serious attempt at socks photos and were just running with ideas pretty much at random. I had brought this fabric for a pregnancy shoot months earlier and really didn't like the way it looked in the photos. Then along comes Tuesday. My $2.90 investment finally paid off. 

Another outtake on the Wild West theme for Life Socks. Looks like an album cover. Any takers? 

Lest I give you the wrong impression with the general tone of my stuff, I find a good close angle face shot fascinating and Tuesday really delivered. 

This picture is cropped too small. I'd like to do another one with this angle shot this way. 

Exactly as I always imagined her. 

I get a lot of grief about not having more black and white stuff and this picture probably won't change that; but it's one of my more successful experiments in monochrome coloring. 

Life Socks outtake 

I really like the way this came out; but I'll be reshooting this theme with a better belt and some actual holsters.

This was a close contender for the final socks photo from this shoot. The final and best crop didn't meet the specs; but I still love this picture. 

After nearly 3 hours, Tuesday says "I need something I can show my Mom"; and trots out this little number. Seriously. I really like the attitude in this picture and I can only conclude that Mom is cool as hell.

This is from one of my earliest shoots. Isis is beautiful and has great expression. I didn't know enough how to use her to our best advantage of the time; but there were a few gems in the set, of which is this is one. 

Visitors to Montreal are often cast in copper and forced to stand guard. 

Coming back from a dinner function, Adam and I detoured over 1 block from the family-friendly Nicollet Mall to find Hennepin Avenue. This was the first place we saw. You be the judge. Posters of female impersonators line the second floor windows of this fine establishment. 

Nevertheless, perhaps unfortunately, naked people bursting from geometric shapes is not a recurring theme in Minneapolis. 

Complete with gift shop. Yeah I said it... Gift Shop 

If you know me, you know how I feel about freckles. 

I didn't start out seeing this with any effects, I only ever shoot with the intention of full living color; but this picture demanded something different. 

I hardly know what to say about this picture. Mia is a pretty girl and quite the crazy pose artist. The quietness of this picture is bottled up by the little smirk she's got. 

This is more a testament to photoshop than it is to photography. It took me a long time to decide that I liked this picture; but I get lots of nice compliments on it. 

This was shot at Walter Jones Park in Mandarin. 

The sky stupid. Nice but subtle combination of colors. 

There was a guy in this picture too, some random dock walking SOB that just came out of nowhere. Can you tell where he was? 

...go outside in your bra 

Alright, so, this is pretty heavily edited as you can probably tell. Although the original didn't work out like I planned, there were so many things right about this picture, I couldn't stand to sacrifice it. I'll probably need to work on that in the future.

How NOT to use a snoot and still get a nice look. 

I HATE the title; but I'm told it's appropriate. I do love this shot though.

This was my first photoshoot with a model; and although the color masking looks a bit dated now, I still love this picture.

April 22, 2007 Shoot with Julia for Pregnancy Journal (about 14 weeks) 

No, she did not leave an impression on the flowers. 

I swear this picture is about her eyes. 

The delicacy of Rachel's features belies a lot of strength and character. To date, this is one of my favorite shots ever.
